Role Overview
HCC is seeking a passionate and strategic Executive Director to lead our organization into its next phase of growth. This part-time role offers the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance milestones, especially in fundraising. The Executive Director will be a key leader, responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing daily operations, and serving as the face of the organization within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising & Revenue Generation: Launch and lead fundraising efforts to meet 6-month and annual goals.
- Operational Strategy: Implement organizational strategies and ensure effective daily operations aligned with the Board’s vision.
- Board & Volunteer Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Board and manage a dedicated team of volunteers.
- Marketing & Public Relations: Represent HCC through public speaking, media outreach, and event promotion.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain and grow relationships with sponsors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Program Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of programs that serve community and member needs.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with fundraising, donor cultivation, or grant writing
- Familiarity with KPI/OKR frameworks and data-driven decision making
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Background in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Public speaking and event leadership experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of related experience in business or nonprofit leadership
- Proven experience managing teams and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to represent HCC effectively in public forums
Compensation & Review Period
This role begins as a 1099 contract position with competitive bi-weekly compensation. After a 6-month performance review, with emphasis on fundraising benchmarks, the contract may be renegotiated to a full-time position with expanded responsibilities.
